Plumeria is an exotic plant found in tropical climates which grows freely in some areas of the Mediterannean Sea. In Greece and Sicily, for example, the Plumeria acutifolia species can be found. In Liguria it is cultivated in gardens and vases for its strikingly beautiful and pleasantly scented flowers, similar to Oleander.
